Kathy Starkoff
Kathleen (Kathy) Starkoff is the Chief Information Officer for The Ohio State University. She leads and oversees the delivery of the university’s information technology strategy, architectural design, core infrastructure, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and learning technologies. She is a member of the President’s Council and the University’s Senior Management Council.
Ms. Starkoff has more than 20 years of information technology experience in the private sector. She is the former Group Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Limited Brands, an $8 Billion retail company including the Victoria’s Secret, Henri Bendel, and Bath & Body Works brands. She was responsible for enterprise architecture, enterprise application development, and infrastructure management. She also led the enterprise risk management team.
Prior to Limited Brands, Ms. Starkoff was Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Finance One, the high-risk lending group of Banc One Corporation. Her financial services experience also includes information technology leadership roles in consulting, application development and support for KeyCorp and National City Corporation in Cleveland, Ohio.
Her information technology career began at IBM where she was part of the local (Cleveland) and then headquarters (White Plains) marketing organizations; focusing on significant national clients in the financial services industry.
She earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, in mathematics from Kent State University with minors in business administration and chemistry.
Ms. Starkoff has been an active supporter of the United Way of Central Ohio, serving as Tocqueville Committee co-chair for the 2007 and 2008 Campaign Cabinets. She is also the Vice President of the Board of Trustees and Chair of the Development Committee for the Columbus Academy. Ms. Starkoff lives in the Columbus area with her husband, son, and their Greater Swiss Mountain Dog.
