The following enhancements and fixes will be available in eTimesheet/Leave on May 11, including: (1) Disclaimer for holiday benefit in eTimesheet; and (2) Ability for Backup Timesheet Approvers to request supervisor review.... Read more at the full article: eTimesheet/eLeave Enhancements 5/11

The following enhancements and fixes will be available in eTimesheet/Leave on May 11:

Disclaimer for holiday benefit in eTimesheet

Currently, holiday hours for observed holidays default into the timesheet based on the employee’s FTE and are not a guaranteed benefit. The defaulted hours may not be correct for various reasons, such as the employee being on leave of absence prior to the holiday. A symbol will now display in the Holiday Benefit column and direct employees to a disclaimer stating “Holiday hours default based on standard work hours, but may need to be changed based on Holiday Policy 6.20.”

Backup Timesheet Approvers can request supervisor review

A new field, request supervisor review checkbox, has been added to the timesheet approval page and will display for users that have the backup approver role. If the backup approver checks the box when approving, it creates an acknowledgments list on the supervisor’s approval page and sends an email to the supervisor. The timesheet will still be approved and the employee will be paid, but the new feature will allow backup approvers who may not be familiar with an employee’s work schedule to request supervisor review of a timesheet. One caveat: if the backup approver approves from the worklist page, the “Request Supervisor Review” checkbox is not available. To use this new feature, backup approvers must open the each timesheet to access the “Request Supervisor Review” checkbox.

A supervisor has the option of denying the time when reviewing timesheets that need acknowledgment. If a supervisor denies the timesheet, the status changes to “Resubmit Required” and the employee must correct and re-submit the timesheet. The corrected timesheet, once approved, will be processed in the next payroll cycle.

The new supervisor acknowledgment type has been added to the existing timesheet acknowledgment report (HRB760).

The Office of the CIO (OCIO) will soon be notifying those parties with user names formatted as lastname.t#, that the “t” account format (for OSU Sponsored Guests) is being decommissioned. Below is the correspondence that will be sent to sponsored guests and their guest administrator:

We are sending you this note to let you know that the Office of the CIO (OCIO) will be decommissioning the use of the lastname.t# format previously assigned to sponsored guests. The transition will begin on Monday, May 14th and will be completed no later than May 25th. The following steps will be taken to make sure each guest successfully transitions to a new Ohio State Username formatted as lastname.#:

OCIO will create a new Ohio State Username for each current guest.

Once the new Ohio State Username is assigned, an email notification will be sent to both the guest and the guest administrator. This email will contain information on the steps that the guest will need to perform in order to successfully activate at my.osu.edu and use their new university account.

Guests will have five (5) business days to activate the new Ohio State Username formatted as lastname.#. After five days, the old lastname.t# will automatically be inactivated and any email sent to lastname.t#@osu.edu will bounce as undeliverable.

We appreciate your cooperation as we complete this change. Please feel free to contact me at wagner.21@osu.edu with any questions or comments.

Thank you,

As indicated in the message, please send inquiries about this change to Joyce Wagner.
