The Digital Union is hosting its third annual showcase and open house featuring highlights of the past year. The event takes place on May 9 from 10 to 11:30 am, with Executive Vice President and Provost Barbara R. Snyder providing remarks at 10:30 am. The showcase celebrates another successful year as a nurturing new media environment for fostering unique, often interdisciplinary, endeavors in pursuit of innovative teaching, learning and research.
Presenters will include faculty, staff, students who participated in projects such as those on digital storytelling, podcasting, and assistive technologies; grant recipients from the research on research (r2) and faculty and staff development programs; and vendors and users of new multimedia technologies. A complete list will be released after presenters have been identified. The Digital Union is located in 370 Science and Engineering Library.
The Digital Union Showcase is being featured in May by Ohio State’s Faculty and TA Development group as one of the events that “celebrate and support teaching” at the university. Others include the Academy of Teaching mini-conference on May 4, IntreAct theatre troupe's spring performances, and the Denman Undergraduate Research Forum, which has honored students from the Digital Union Research on Research program in past years.
