On August 16, 2008, Digital Union graduate assistant Nick Johnson, along with three Weinland Park high school students, Marchae Broomfield, Laquan Stephenson, and Rico Wright, packed up a collection of videocameras, microphones and tripods to record the annual Weinland Park Community Festival. The event featured free food, live local music and art, an awards ceremony, and games for all ages.
The team spent the day collecting video interviews, capturing dance and spoken word performances, and photographing community involvement. Check out the short documentary video they created here digitalunion.osu.edu/weinlandpark.
