Digital Storytelling Listserv, Workshop and Short Film Entry

Article originally published in a different format

Greetings! OSU's Digital Storytelling Program has created an official listserv to share information about digital storytelling projects and opportunities at Ohio State. If you would like to be added to this list, please e-mail your request to digitalstory@osu.edu. Our first two announcements are below.

Apply for Summer Digital Storytelling Workshop

Would you like to tell the story of your teaching, research or outreach through a video or audio project? OSU's Digital Storytelling team invites you to apply for an intensive, hands-on Digital Storytelling workshop to be held June 16-18. Project ideas related to teaching, research or outreach will be given preference. Application deadline is May 4. Detailed information and applications are available at telr.osu.edu/storytelling.

Submit Your Short Film

OSU’s Digital Storytelling Program is looking for short video pieces for a screening at the Wexner Center’s Film/Video Theater for our 2009 celebration of the International Day for Sharing Life Stories on May 15.

Do you have a short video or digital story about your life or someone else’s that you’d like to share? Submit your video (6 minutes or less) on CD, DVD, or VHS to Liv Gjestvang at the Digital Union (370 Science & Engineering Library) by 5 p.m. April 23. (Be sure to leave your name, the title of your video, and your e-mail with it.)

We are looking for stories from faculty, staff, students and community members, and we welcome pieces from a broad range of technical skill levels, from simple homemade projects to more professional quality work. For more information contact digitalstory@osu.edu.
