A critical defect in one of the Identity and Access Management (IdM) system connectors was identified during the June 24-26 cutover activities prompting OCIO to suspend the launch of my.osu.edu until it can be resolved. The university community should wait for further announcement on its availability.
Currently, the account management functionalities (identity activation, e-mail delivery, password change) will continue to occur using the current business processes and Account Management web site (https://acctmgt.service.ohio-state.edu). Services for Sponsored Guest Admins remain available using the current (pre-IdM) process.
The new self-service site, my.osu.edu, will replace the existing Account Management web site. My.osu.edu will be the location where everyone assigned an Ohio State Username (lastname.#) will go to activate their identity, set security questions and answers, create a new password, and choose where their university (firstname.lastname@example.org) e-mail will be delivered.
