iPads in Higher Education

Trying to figure out if you need an iPad and how you'd put it to use in the classroom? Join Liv Gjestvang and Stephen Lieb from the Digital First initiative to learn about ways iPads can be used for productivity, collaboration, classroom polling, presentations, research, and more.

Web Fundamentals III (Hands-on)

When:  Friday, July 6, 10:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Where:  060 Science and Engineering Library

This hands-on workshop is the third of three sessions in an introductory exploration of the fundamental skills and concepts needed to produce modern websites. The focus of this session is using Adobe Dreamweaver to explore the basics of incorporating dynamic behaviors into a basic HTML/CSS layout using the JavaScript framework JQuery.

Webinar: LectureTools - Student Engagement and Assessment in Class

When:  Tuesday, July 10, 2-3 p.m.
Where:  At your desk

Join Jason Aubrey from LectureTools for a hands-on exploration of their web-based student response, note-taking, and inquiry tool. You will learn how to use LectureTools to create presentations and interactive class activities as well as assess data gathered from students in class.

iPad Productivity

When:  Thursday, July 12, 10:00-11:30 a.m.
Where:  060 Science and Engineering Library

This session introduces techniques and apps for productivity on the iPad. We will cover basic productivity apps.

Microsoft Word Styles

When:  Friday, July 13, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
Where:  060 Science and Engineering Library

Using styles in Word will allow you to format your documents in a fast, efficient, and consistent way, and in a way that can be your very own.
