On Friday, September 7, the authentication process customers use for accessing the Administrative Web Interface (AWI) will transition from the local AWI system to the university’s Shibboleth system. The AWI is the self-service site faculty and staff use to manage their departmental telecommunication accounts, orders, and repairs.
The authentication change will be implemented by the Office of the Chief Information Officer during a brief, non-service affecting maintenance window on the 7th, between 7:00 AM and 7:15 AM, and will simplify the number of login credentials for AWI users and provide a more secure site.
After the maintenance is completed, AWI customers will need to use their Ohio State Username (lastname.#) and password to log in and access the AWI system. The Ohio State Username and password are the same credentials faculty and staff use to access other university systems such as Transportation and Parking, eRequest, and OSU Wireless.
