NBC Learn Online Digital Repository Now Available to Faculty, Staff, and Students

Sponsored collaboratively by the OCIO and University Libraries, NBC Learn is now available to Ohio State faculty, staff, and students. NBC Learn is a collection of over 10,000 primary source streaming videos, newsreels, documents, and images that can be used in lectures, online assignments, digital projects, and presentations. Current event streaming videos are updated daily. Browse these resources, link to them, or download them for viewing in an offline player. Full transcripts and citations are provided for each resource.

"We are using NBC Learn in Educational Studies 1259, Learning and Motivation Strategies for Success in College, as a source of engaging and timely video content to spur small-group and whole-class discussions" said Lauren Hensley, Interim Director Walter E. Dennis Learning Center. "Our instructors are showing videos during class time as a supplement to lectures, with an emphasis on providing content that leads to reflection, critical analysis, or application."

Access NBC Learn videos in a wide range of disciplines at go.osu.edu/nbclearn. On campus, you'll be logged in to The Ohio State University account directly, and if you’re off campus, use the Off Campus sign in and your university log-in information to obtain full access to the resources. Create an individual account to save videos to a playlist. Watch for upcoming Digital Union workshops on using NBC Learn (ocio.osu.edu/elearning/calendar).
