I am pleased to share with you that Diane Dagefoerde has accepted the position of Deputy CIO and will be joining us on July 14, 2014. I know she will be a great addition to our team.
For those of you who don’t know her, Diane has served as Chief Information Officer of the College of Arts and Sciences since 2010. During this time, her primary focus was on modernizing and adapting legacy IT operations to support the college’s strategic goals. At ASC, she employs an IT Portfolio approach to help the college identify the new IT services it needs, calculate what it costs to provide each service at different performance levels, and balance the portfolio to ensure goals, priorities and budgets remained aligned.
One of her key strengths, which we will leverage within the OCIO, is her ability to translate between technical and academic communities. Facilitating these collaborations enables modern IT solutions for innovations in teaching and research and streamlining business operations.
Effective July 14, Bob Corbin, Carrie Jester, Dave Kieffer, Tom Mowbray and Gene Rogers will report to Diane. Beginning that week, Diane will be reaching out to individual teams as part of her orientation to get to know you and familiarize herself with your current work.
Please join me in welcoming Diane to the team.
