Box ending support for Internet Explorer 8 on 12/31/15

Box will be discontinuing support for Internet Explorer 8 (IE 8) on December 31. As of January 2016, Microsoft will no longer support updates for IE 8, meaning that Box users on this browser will have a poor experience because certain features will not work as expected. Moreover, Microsoft will stop issuing out security patches for IE 8 making the browser vulnerable. We recommend that all Internet Explorer 8 users upgrade to Internet Explorer 10 or 11 or an alternatively supported browser in order to continue using Box after December 31. Please note, Box will also discontinue support for Internet Explorer 9 on June 30, 2016 in alignment with Microsoft discontinuing support for the browser.

Currently, all first time users who access Box via IE 8 will see a yellow banner at the top of the Box web application. The banner looks like this and has the ability to be dismissed:

If you have any questions, you may visit the Box Community Site. The IT Service Desk is also available at 614-688-HELP (4357) or 8help@osu.edu.
