The BuckeyeBox service is officially launching for campus-wide use, as of today. A.box.com website still has some improvements to make. Ohio State holds high standards for accessibility and we hope to see several improvements for this tool so that persons with disabilities have a truly equal experience when using BuckeyeBox, compared to the average user.
A file sharing and collaboration tool is only valuable with mobility and versatility. That’s why the BuckeyeBox team has tested and synched with three additional mobile applications to unite with Ohio State’s cloud collaboration tool: CloudOn, Notability and iAnnotate.
Synching new Applications with the BuckeyeBox tool for mobile collaboration and cloud sharing is a balancing act. We want to make your work easier, more mobile and collaborative, while keeping university data secure. After testing QuickOfficePRO, we concluded that the app did not appropriately safeguard university data (and we're disappointed, too!).
A small adjustment is being made to the login page for the BuckeyeBox vendor. Osu.box.com will redirect to osu.app.box.com starting July 10, 2013. If you see the URL in your address bar change, know that this is normal.
This URL change shouldn't have much impact on your BuckeyeBox experience. Ohio State's BuckeyeBox landing page, box.osu.edu, will still direct you to the correct login page. If you have a box.com bookmark it will redirect as well, but it's always a good idea to keep your bookmarks current.
