Computer viruses intermittently strike the Ohio State campus causing varying degrees of trouble. They are usually transmitted through e-mail attachments and most often affect Windows computers. They can not only destroy and corrupt data on the computers they infect, they can spread their mischief far and wide by surreptitiously triggering e-mail messages that carry the viruses to everyone in the e-mail address books of infected computers.
