This month the spotlight shines on ODEE application developer, Vedu Hariths. This former pharmacy assistant has been with Ohio State for nearly eight years, and he says we’re the best group of people he’s ever worked with (d’awww). He left India for Ohio to avoid death-by-crocodile (and perhaps to work on his PhD). When he’s not at Mount Hall, this wildlife enthusiast can be found eating El Vaquero, trekking the Serengeti or watching super hero movies with his two boys. Learn more about Vedu in this month’s employee spotlight!
This month’s spotlight employee comes from shared services across OCIO and ODEE. You’ve heard her name and read it on emails, but you may not have met this Wes Anderson-loving writer. She dreamed of being a fossil finder, but lucky for us, digging up new ways to communicate to students also keeps her satisfied. Meet Mount Hall Move Admiral Grace Buchholz in this month’s employee spotlight!
This November, the spotlight is shining on OCIO employee Nick Rotonda. He’s a java engineer (sadly, NOT a fancy coffee creator) on the Web & Mobile team. Although he loves working with the people at Ohio State, he would jump at the chance to get away to a beautiful beachy island. When he’s not delving into web frameworks in OCIO, Nick can be found exploring local bars and frequenting his favorite pizza shop. Learn more about Nick in this month’s employee spotlight!
This month the spotlight shines on Application Architecture Director Glenn Donaldson. Glenn came to Ohio State for college and never left! This father of four enjoys solving problems, helping others and networking while he’s on the job, but prefers to sing and dance after hours. Learn more about Glenn in this month’s Employee Spotlight!
This month, John Muir from ODEE is in the spotlight! This instructional designer works with online degree programs, and he loves being able to shape the direction of the online learning experience. This former robot, kilt-wearer and rock star is also a fan of eco-horror-sci-fi books and symphony orchestras. You can find him in St John Arena designing courses or at Arepazo eating Latin American food…or across the border in Latin America! Learn more about John in this month’s employee spotlight.
This August the spotlight falls on SIS developer Chris Palmer. This 6-year Buckeye loves solving puzzles and working with his Enterprise Applications cohort. He’s held a wide range of jobs, but he gave in to the call of technology (even passing up laser tag!). When he’s not at Airport Drive, you can find him noshing on brunch at Northstar Café or heading as far west as his motorbike will take him. Get to know your OCIO comrade, Chris Palmer, in this month’s employee spotlight.
This month we’re celebrating spotlight employee Brian Roesser. Brian works in ODEE, keeping classrooms and Digital Unions up to date. This former police car cleaner is a racing enthusiast, but he’s willing to pump the brakes to spend time with his family. If you don’t see Brian in Enarson, you might want to check alongside a lake or a racetrack. Learn more about Brian with this month’s employee spotlight.
This month, the spotlight falls on OCIO employee Julie Wuebker. This Application and Operations Manager for BuckeyeLearn is loving being a part of the university, especially having the opportunity to help her fellow Buckeyes grow professionally. Julie has worked with wrestlers, trainers, pun writers and theatre folk, yet the OCIO is still challenging enough for her passions. If you happen to run into her at ADC, ask about her superhero children and mad Rock Band skillz. Learn more about Julie in this month’s employee spotlight.
This month, the spotlight falls on ODEE employee, Josh Jennings. As a manager of classroom technology, Josh can be found updating over 350 collaborative learning spaces (AND responding to incidents on top of regular maintenance). Josh has been with Ohio State since 2000, and when he’s away from campus, he can be found golfing, reading Stephen King and raising two future American Ninja Warriors. Learn more about Josh in this month’s employee spotlight.
This month, the spotlight falls on telecom engineer Jeff Geren. This former target loader at a shooting range had dreams of being an on-air radio personality. However, he got turned on to tech by a PC game and has stuck with the field ever since. Jeff joined the OCIO in 2002, and the work/life balance the university provides has him hooked. This father of one can be found at TNC (when he’s not lunching at Raising Cane’s), but he’d rather be unplugged, relaxing at the beach. Read on to learn more about Jeff.
