Buckeye Alert, the university’s emergency notification system, has been updated! As of July 1, Buckeye Alert messages are being delivered faster, reducing the amount of time it takes to deliver messages to the university community. Faculty, staff and students should also be aware that every member of the university community will now automatically receive Severe Weather alerts for tornado warnings. In addition, the five-digit code that currently appears on your phone when text messages are sent will change (no action required). The university will be testing the Buckeye Alert system on July 8 at 10 a.m. All faculty, staff and students associated with the Columbus campus, including anyone affiliated with the Wexner Medical Center, will receive a text message, which will be clearly identified as a test.
