Effective January 27, Business Leave requests can now be submitted electronically, thus eliminating the use of a paper leave form to obtain Business Leave approval. The new electronic form is a simple, self-service tool that may be used by employees to obtain pre-travel authorization. It may be used for any Business Leave even if a reimbursement or prepayment will not be processed. The request routes to an employee’s supervisor for approval and uses Supervisor ID in job data to identify the primary approver (same as eTime/eLeave).
The new Business Leave online form is not intended as an extra step. If you have questions regarding your department’s usage of the new form, please contact your Senior Fiscal Officer.
Business Leave doesn’t deduct from leave balances (sick, vacation, etc.), or load to a timesheet. All employees will have access to the business leave form, located at http://busleave.osu.edu. Employees who are enrolled in eTimesheet or eLeave can also access the business leave form through those applications.
