Administrative Systems Hours of Availability

OCIO staff perform maintenance on The Ohio State University administrative and other systems on a regular basis. Some systems have specific hours of availability, as listed below. Maintenance for these systems is performed around the posted business hours.

Some systems, such as Carmen or university email, are available around the clock and require maintenance to be performed during a specific maintenance window of Sunday mornings between between midnight to 3 a.m.

If additional system downtime is required, the schedule will be posted as soon as it is available in NewsLink or other resources associated with the specific system. In the event of maintenance or unexpected downtime, updates will be posted to the OCIO System Status Page.


Human Resources Information System (PeopleSoft) and Employee Self Service:

Includes pages accessed by HR professionals and service center staff whose access is limited due to system downtime during payroll and batch processing. Employee Self Service includes faculty and staff resources such as ePay and eBenefits.

The system is available 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week, except:

  • 1 a.m. to 3 a.m. –  Monday through Saturday
  • Midnight to 11 a.m. – Sunday
  • 7 p.m. to Midnight – During Payroll Processing Evenings

 

Student Information System (SIS) and Student Self Service:

The system is available 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week, except:

  • Midnight to 11 a.m. – Sunday

 

Financials System:

The system is available:

  • 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. – Monday through Saturday
  • 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. – Sunday

 

eReports:

The system is available:

  • 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. – Monday through Friday
  • 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. – Saturday
  • 1 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. – Sunday

 

BuckIQ:

The system is available:

  • 7 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. – Monday through Friday
  • 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. – Saturday
  • 1 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. – Sunday
