Beginning spring quarter, complimentary Wi-Fi services will be available on campus for use by the general public.
The university has partnered with AT&T to provide complimentary Wi-Fi hotspots on Ohio State's Columbus campus. The Wi-Fi hotspots will allow wireless access for visitors. The service will be free to use; open (no log in credentials will be required) and unsecured (no encryption).
Faculty, staff, and students should continue to use the secured service provided (osuwireless).
The visitor Wi-Fi service will be available in all OSU Wireless locations except residence halls and Metro High School. To view the OSU Wireless coverage map, visit http://wireless.osu.edu/map. Future plans include extending the service to regional campuses.
Access details for the new visitor Wi-Fi service will be communicated to the campus community beginning March 23.
